For instance, switching to a "night" tariff allows you to pay 2.16 hryvnias for electricity from 11 PM to 7 AM, but it requires purchasing and installing a special meter, which can cost several thousand hryvnias. However, energy experts emphasize that there are cheaper alternatives to reduce bills.
How to save without losing comfort:
- replace old incandescent bulbs with LED lighting, as these bulbs last longer and consume up to 80% less electricity;
- install smart plugs to avoid unnecessary expenses when devices are in standby mode;
- when it's time to replace certain household appliances, choose energy-efficient models, class A+. Such an investment will quickly pay off;
- use appliances efficiently - whenever possible, select short cycles and low temperatures for washing, and regularly clean the filters of washing and dishwashing machines;
- eliminate habits such as leaving lights on in empty rooms or charging smartphones, laptops, and other devices longer than necessary.
