You have only 10 days to file an application for a review of the decision made by the VLC.
In an interview with News.LIVE, lawyer Alexey Shalara shared this information. He added that this time frame starts from the moment the conclusion is issued. The procedure allows for an appeal to a higher authority, such as the regional VLC, if the previous decision was made in your city.
"If a man disagrees with the VLC's decision, he has the right to submit an application for a re-examination. However, this must go to a higher authority: from a small town to the regional level, from the regional to Kyiv, up to the republican level. I had a client who, from a small town in Mykolaiv Oblast, actually made it to Kyiv and proved that he is indeed fit for rear services, rather than being completely unfit," says Shalara.
A separate category that can appeal the VLC's decision includes servicemen who have sustained injuries while performing their official duties. In such cases, there are several courses of action. For instance, through the "Army+" mobile application or by submitting a written report to the command. The lawyer emphasizes that all appeals must be submitted exclusively in writing.
"As a lawyer, I advise that if you are submitting any appeals, they should be in writing. This is because a written appeal must receive a written response. Always demand either a written refusal or a written reply," adds the expert.
