The agreement is already 90% complete, but some critical points still require approval.

According to BBC, this agreement is expected to end the 14-month war that has caused significant losses for both sides. A key part of the negotiations is the establishment of a buffer zone along the border between Israel and the Gaza Strip, where Israel plans to maintain a military presence. Additionally, one of the critical issues is the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor—a strip of land south of the Gaza-Egypt border that holds great strategic importance for both parties.

An unnamed Palestinian official notes that a successful resolution of these contentious points could pave the way for three phases of a ceasefire, which would last for several days. The first phase will involve the exchange of 20 Palestinian prisoners for each Israeli female soldier. The release of the Palestinians is likely to occur in stages, as the final list of candidates for exchange has not yet been approved. Among the 400 potential prisoners are individuals serving sentences of over 25 years in Israeli jails.

However, Israel is reportedly set to veto the release of Marwan Barghouti—a Fatah leader serving a life sentence. Another important aspect of the agreement is the release of Israeli hostages. Hamas is expected to reveal the whereabouts of some missing individuals, and preliminary data indicates that out of 96 remaining hostages in Gaza, 62 are believed to be alive.

In the final phase of the agreement, the governance of the Gaza Strip is to be transferred to a technocratic committee that has no political affiliations but has received support from all Palestinian factions.
