There is a significant concentration of Russian troops in the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove direction, but the occupiers have not breached the front line.

This was reported by military expert, co-founder, and executive director of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation, Dmytro Zhmailyo, during a broadcast on the "Espresso" channel. According to him, despite the challenging conditions, the front line remains stable, and Ukrainian forces continue to hold their positions.

“Fortunately, the information that the front has collapsed is not true. The command of the troops has not been lost, but there is a significant numerical advantage for the enemy. For comparison, in the south, including Crimea, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, there is about a 200,000-strong grouping that is constantly trying to improve its tactical position. In the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove direction, they have gathered around 120,000 troops along with reserves in a narrow strip,” Zhmailyo noted.

The main objective of the Russian troops in the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove direction is the N15 highway – a critically important route for supplying Ukrainian units. Ukrainian soldiers continue to resist, but the shortage of infantry units in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and difficulties with artillery support are having an impact.

According to the expert, to strengthen the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reserves are constantly being redirected to the most tense sections of the front. The 14th drone battalion is already heading to Toretsk, and separate units from the 128th and presidential brigades are expected to arrive north of the Kurakhove reservoir.
